The structure is situated in San Pietro, a village set in the wonderful setting of Brancastello and Prena Mountains, from the slopes of which abundant springs come out.
The Center, the first one in Italy, illustrates the cycle of water, with the formation of the mountains, the history of man, explorers, and users of the precious resource.
The Center offers to school groups a particular didactic-exploration route that, through the natural and built environments of the Park, invites to reflect on the value of water as an irreplaceable and exhaustible resource.
For Christmas holidays, the Park's Water Museum will observe the following opening times, from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm:
- Friday 13th, Saturday 14th, Sunday 15th December;
- Friday 20th, Saturday 21st, Sunday 22nd, Monday 23rd December;
- Friday 27th, Saturday 28th, Sunday 29th, Monday 30th December;
- Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th, Sunday 5th, Monday 6th January.
Ordinary opening times: Friday - Saturday from 9,30 am to 3,30 pm
For groups and schools, upon reservation, it is possible to arrange a visit on any other day of the week.
We inform you that on opening days, the Centre offers a Mountain Bike rental service.
