The guide entitled 'Itinerari gastronomici' (Gastronomic itineraries) has been published
The Park commits to enhancing the territory's most excellent features
Ten routes to tell, popularize and foster the genuineness and the quality of Gran Sasso and Laga Mountains National Park's products. This is the task undertaken towards visitors, tourists and operators by the new guide 'Itinerari enogastronomici', which has been newly published by the Park Authority thanks to the work done by its Agricultural - Woodland - Sheep farming service.
The main news of the guide lies in the presentation of the territory's products as a result of the relation between environment, history, tradition, gastronomic culture and historical-artistic heritage, and in the pointing out of that extraordinary combination of stubbornness and wisdom which built a real "eco-gastronomic system" made of some of Italy's most famous products and dishes.
The routes are described in the titles: "Acque cristalline e vini di montagna" (crystal clear water and mountain wines), "Su e giù per la Baronia, tra pascoli e coltivi" (Up and down through Baronia, between pastures and coltivate lands), "Verso l'Amatriciana" (Towards Amatriciana), "Alto Aterno: cereali, legumi e tradizioni antiche" (Alto Aterno: cereals, pulses and ancient traditions), "Sulla via del Sale" (On the salt way), "Terre di Mezzo" (Middle earth), "La Statale 80" (State road 80), "Dai Mendoza ai Signori della Ceramica" (From the Mendozas to the Lords of pottery), "Profumi di Bosco" (Scents of the woodland), "I trappeti delle Abbazie" (The underground olive oil mills of the Abbeys) - it is equipped with a map 1:80.000 where the ten itineraries are highlighted with different colors, and the route is organized according to the departure and arrival stages.
